Information we collect

When you submit a setup request through Nearloop, we collect the information you provide in that form. This may include your business name and type, the address(es) of the location(s) you want set up, an optional Google Business Profile or Google Maps link, a contact name, email, and phone number, and any optional notes you add.

If you create a Nearloop account, you sign in with a secure link sent to your email address. Nearloop does not create or store a password for you.

Once your touchpoints are in use, we store engagement and interaction counts for your devices and show them on your dashboard.

How we use it

We use the information you submit to review, verify, configure, and fulfill your physical NFC/QR touchpoint setup request, and to communicate with you about that request. Submitting a setup request is not the same as consenting to marketing communications — we do not send marketing email based on your setup request unless you separately agree to it.

Service providers

Nearloop uses third-party service providers who process information on our behalf so the service can run. These are: a payment processor (Stripe) for checkout and subscription billing, an authentication and database provider (Supabase) for account sign-in and data storage, and a transactional email provider (Resend) for account and order emails.

Data retention and security

We retain the information you submit for as long as needed to fulfill your setup request and operate the service, and afterward as reasonably necessary for record-keeping. We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect your information against unauthorized access or disclosure.

Your choices

If you have questions about the information we hold or want it corrected or removed, email us at hello@nearloop.ca and we will respond as promptly as we can.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Nearloop evolves. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
